The Sky Room

Building on The Bowery’s extraordinary success over the past six years, which includes 2009 Australian Gourmet Traveller Bar of the Year, and 2008 Australian Bartender Magazine Bar of The Year, Stephanie Canfell and Cameron Birt have opened a new venue at the corner of Wickham and Brunswick Streets in Fortitude Valley. Sky Room was honoured in it’s first few months with a prestigious nomination in Australian Gourmet Traveler Magazine National Restaurant Awards(AGT); Bar of the Year. In Further accolades SKY ROOM has also received a nomination in Australian Bartender Magazines New Bar of the Year.

Taking it’s name from a lounge at the Honolulu International airport in the mid 20th century, THE SKY ROOM is a rooftop cocktail bar with sweeping views over Fortitude Valley. Using only the best seasonal produce and fresh hand-pressed juices the cocktail list was designed by two of Australia’s leading Bartenders Karel Reyes and Mitchell Kings. With original Danish furniture and Lautner inspired interiors, SKY ROOM aims to mix palm springs 50’s with sleek contemporary design.
